They did a lot of 'poking and prodding' but were not able to resolve the issue either. I spent several hours on-line with a support service that came with my PC - PREMIER PC SUPPORT. There appeared to be some activity but the update still hangs up at 32%. I find no reference to either in SERVICES. I have looked at the registry and can find no files marked Trend Micro or PC-cillin. I ran that program several times as ADMINISTRATOR There is another folder there that contained and exe file that held an un-instaler program. In Programs (x86) labeled Trend Micro and deleted the files in two folders. I have tried looking with an after market cleaning package. It does not show up in the 'delete programs list' either. The program (PC-cillin Internet Security) is not listed in 'programs and features'. We are happy to help!
